Saline-filled breast implants are filled with a saltwater solution similar to the fluid that makes up most of the human body. Each breast implant has a self-sealing valve used to fill the device during your breast augmentation surgery.
Dr. Niessen offers a variety of textures, sizes and shapes to provide you the greatest flexibility toward achieving breast enhancement goals. There are two types of Saline-Filled Breast Implants to choose from when you are considering breast augmentation: |
 |
1) Round Style Breast Implant
To accommodate various body types, the round shape is available in a wide variety of sizes. Round breast implants are available in two different shells: smooth and textured.
Smooth surface breast implants are less likely to be felt through the skin and tissue and have a slightly softer shell.
2) Contour Style Breast Implant
These saline-filled breast implants feature a contoured shape that re-creates the more teardrop outline of a natural looking breast. Women who are looking for a gently sloping breast silhouette often prefer these. These implants are used when a patient has her implants placed directly beneath the breast (subglandular). |
